EVENT ART
In October 2017, I helped plan and host the 2nd Annual Neighbors, An Art Show event held by the Salter Properties family. My role in this planning was to organize the artists and art pieces we would pick and feature in the show. This event showcased local artists and is held in conjunction with the ArtsFest event held every year in Conway. The event was free and open to the public. ArtsFest included arts vendors, circus performers, live music, free blacklight painting, LED lit giant balloon blowing, and more! Check out photos from the 2017 event.
On April 23, 2016, I hosted an event for the three Music Greek Organizations at A-State. The event was a Jazz Dance Charity Ball. The Ball was raising money for the charities our organizations support that improve music and music education in schools. This event was the first one I have ever planned of this capacity. Planning this event involved getting in touch with businesses around the town to ask for donations of money or food. It also involved collaborating with members of the three organizations, Tau Beta Sigma, Sigma Alpha Iota, and Phi Mu Alpha, to plan the event and make sure it went off without a hitch. We used the City Youth Ministries building for the dance and were able to raise over $600 for our charities. Below are photos from the event. We had a member of Tau Beta Sigma take the photos.
